LAKELAND - A man wanted in a February DUI manslaughter case in Polk County was arrested today in Massachusetts.

Jason Torres, 24, of Lakeland was arrested in Chelsea, Mass., after fleeing the state following an accident that killed two passengers in the car he was driving.

At the time of the accident, Torres consented to having his blood drawn for a blood-alcohol investigation, Polk County Sheriff's Office said.

The result of the blood-alcohol analysis showed Torres' blood-alcohol level was .118. In Florida, a person is considered to be legally drunk if the blood-alcohol level is .08.

Torres is being held with the Massachusetts State Police with no bond. He will be extradited to Polk County where he faces two counts of DUI manslaughter, the sheriff's office said.
